NEW POST AT LOOKnBE BRAZIL:

Quem acompanha o The Fashion Adviser, já tem conhecimento da minha participação como blogger na rede social brasileira LooknBe. O LooknBe é a primeira rede social dedicada a moda e a beleza.

At the site, you can build your profile, add friends, and, best of all, ask for fashion advice from the site members, as well as knowing where to find a specific garment, and so on…

English Version

Today’s post is dedicated to the differences and similarities between portuguese and brazilian women in beach time!

Generally speaking, older portuguese women don’t groom themselves for the beach. They believe that the purpose is sunbathing and going home after that… Younger women, however, enjoy colourful outfits. They bet on colourful shorts and skirts (both short and long); but the pieces of the moment are the big straw and wicker hats, and extra large sunglasses! More mature and overweight women usually opt for one piece swimsuits, while the youngsters love bikinis and trikinis! The lower pieces are way bigger in Portugal than in Brazil… However, the brazilian influence has played an important role in making them smaller every day!!

They are usually accompanied by a giant bag (in acryllic, wicker, straw, etc.), because they can put everything inside… from giant towels to hair products, suntan creams, magazines, bottles of water and even snacks! After the beach, younger women usually stick to the nearest esplanade for a while longer, almost till sundown.  Only after that they go home, groom themselves and go out again for a really late dinner! In Portugal, we have dinner late and start the night at a bar as late as possible!!

Brazilian looks comprises overalls, light skirts (in laise fabric), jeans shorts and trendy blouses… all very stylish, because they usually go straight to the restaurant. They don’t use beach towels, they choose beach sarongs instead, for laying in the sand and drying their bodies. Before, these sarongs were also worn as skirts.

At brazilian beaches, we rarely see one piece swimsuits, even if women are overweight. Because brazilian women exercise more than the portuguese, they show the body with small, sexy bikinis!!! Bikinis are their favorite pieces!!!

Did you enjoy the differences and similarities??!!
